Heart-leaved alexanders is an upland herb that grows throughout our region in mesic prairies or woodland openings, on moist loam or sandy loam soil, where it gets sun and is not heavily shaded by tall or aggressive plants. Beautiful leaves at ground level; attractive, flat-topped, yellow flower-head on slender stem.
